What is Gift Aid?‘Gift aid is tax relief on money donated to UK charities’ (Ref HMRC 2006) If you are a taxpayer gift aid is the smartest, easiest and most sensible way to donate to charity. Higher rate tax payers may also be able to claim further tax relief via gift aid when they fill in their self-assessment form.
